    Part Ⅱ Conversations

    ★Dialogue

A: I talked to every member of the committee and made it very clear that if they adopted my method, the problem could easily be solved at a minimal cost.
    B: What did they say?
A: Nothing. Each one kept looking at his watch. It was obvious they were not in the least interested in my suggestion. In fact, none of them seemed very concerned about the problem itself. Their indifference was outrageous.
B: These people are throwing taxpayers’ money down the drain. Somebody must stop them.
A: I’ll try again. Maybe I could go and talk to the press.
